God I hope the future is kinder. I hope that they have it figured out better. I hope people don’t have to work so much for so little. I hope there’s time to explore passions and interests and skills. I hope people get the support they need. I hope the people from the future look back at our problems and are bewildered by them, like I’m confused by how they used to put poisonous lead in make-up, just… “how did they ever think that was okay? How did they live like that?” I hope the cruelties and hidden poisons of our world are one day so distant that they’re used as fun facts in trivia games. Please be kinder, future

It’s so important to remember that tumblr is bad. Has been bad. And will likely remain bad for the foreseeable future. And that is vital to our survival. If Tumblr was a good website that worked, it would get turned into a corporate hellscape like every other site. It’s so important that Tumblr is broken and poorly run and impossible to effectively navigate. It’s all that’s keeping us safe.
If your goal is to normalize gender-nonconformity you’re gonna have to accept that some people will fuck with gender as hard as they can while still being unequivocally, 100% cis and that is okay. There’s no egg to crack or callout to write. This is a good thing actually.
ok so i dont really care about bts. to preface this. but i think the phenomenon of bts fans who think jungkook is princess diana reincarnated is really funny. so if i had to be bts/jungkook’s manager i’d make him lean into it. make him give fake interviews about being scared of car crashes and other things to feed the princess diana jungkook bts girlies
I feel like a somewhat disregarded aspect of modern internet callout culture is the impact on people with anxiety or paranoia or intrusive thoughts and how the general sentiment of “bad things will only happen to you if you’re bad, so just be good all the time” just exacerbates obsessive self flagellation
For once I’m actually happy about one of my posts blowing up because I so rarely see discussions about OCD and OCD-flavored anxiety and paranoia as they relate to social media, which leads to things like posts with major OCD triggers blowing up like crazy (“if you don’t rb this I don’t trust you” type shit). Every so often posts go around with good information but that are worded in an extremely triggering way meant to guilt trip you into sharing it and it makes me really sad because you could’ve just left that off!!
